The world’s largest builder by turnover, is to construct tallest tower in Africa

La société d'État de China State Construction Engineering Corporation (CSCEC) a obtenu le droit de construire la plus haute tour d'Afrique, à Nairobi, au Kenya.
On espère que le Kenya deviendra bientôt un important exportateur de pétrole, un investisseur identifié étant la société de commercialisation pétrolière Hass Petroleum Group, dont le projet Hass Towers d'une valeur de 195 millions de dollars comprendra deux grandes tours: la première étant un hôtel Hilton de 45 étages, la plus grande tour à 67 étages. La tour de 67 étages comprendra des espaces de bureaux de luxe, des espaces commerciaux et des installations de loisirs.
Le CSCEC commence à travailler le mois prochain sur le projet dans le district de Upper Hill à Nairobi, qui devient une plaque tournante pour les affaires internationales. La tour de 67 étages, achevée en 2020, atteindra 300 mètres de haut, battant le détenteur actuel du record en Afrique - le Carlton Center de 223 mètres de hauteur au centre de Johannesburg, en Afrique du Sud, achevé en 1973.
Les excavations pour le projet ont déjà commencé, et sont en cours depuis plusieurs années entre la société immobilière Jabavu Village Ltd et la société immobilière américaine White Lotus Projects.
L'ingénieur mondial Meinhardt Group avait été recruté pour les services d'ingénierie, structurels et MEP.
En octobre 2016, le groupe hôtelier Hilton a signé un accord de gestion avec Jabavu Village Ltd pour l'ouverture d'un hôtel de 255 chambres le long de la tour.
Il est rapporté que CSECEC a battu 10 autres grandes sociétés de partout dans le monde pour garantir les droits de construire les tours de record.

The state-owned company of China State Construction Engineering Corporation (CSCEC) has won the rights to build the tallest tower in Africa, in Nairobi, Kenya. 

It’s hoped that Kenya will soon become a major exporter of oil, an identified investor is oil marketing company Hass Petroleum Group, whose $195m Hass Towers scheme will consist of two large towers: the first being a 45 storey Hilton hotel, and then the continent’s largest tower coming in at 67-storey’s tall. The 67-storey tower will consist of luxury office spaces, retail spaces and leisure facilities. 
CSCEC starts work next month on the scheme in Nairobi’s Upper Hill district, which is becoming a hub for international business. The 67-storey tower, when complete in 2020, will be 300m high, beating the current record-holder in Africa – the 223-m-tall Carlton Centre in downtown Johannesburg, South Africa, completed in 1973.
The excavations for the project have already begun, which have been in the making for several years between property corporation Jabavu Village Ltd and US based real estate firm, White Lotus Projects. 
Global engineer Meinhardt Group had been hired for lead engineering, structural and MEP services.
In October 2016 hotel group Hilton signed a management agreement with Jabavu Village Ltd to open a 255-room hotel alongside the tower.
It’s reported that CSECEC beat 10 other large corporation from across the globe to secure the rights to constructing the record-breaking towers.
