India’s steel exports had an impressive January

L'Inde a connu une hausse remarquable en glissement annuel en janvier en ce qui concerne les exportations d'acier. Ils ont vu une augmentation de trois fois à 0.0889MT d'acier exporté dans le mois d'hiver. Le résultat est presque indéniablement dû au fait que le gouvernement a mis en place des mesures pour protéger la production nationale, au milieu des craintes d'exploitation commerciale à l'étranger, principalement à l'instar d'autres pays qui vendent de l'acier bon marché.
Le pays a expédié 5,865 tonnes au cours des dix premiers mois de l'exercice en cours, enregistrant une augmentation de 71%. "Les exportations en janvier 2017 (0,889 tm) ont augmenté de 224 pour cent par rapport à janvier 2016 et ont augmenté de 19 pour cent par rapport à décembre 2016", selon les données du Joint Plant Committee. L'exportation d'acier du pays en janvier 2016 était de 0,274 tm, ont révélé les données.
"Les exportations d'acier fini total ont augmenté de 71,1% en avril-janvier 2016-17 (5,865 tm) par rapport à la même période de l'année dernière", ont indiqué les données. Les importations d'acier fini total ont diminué de 37,8% pour atteindre 6,097 tm en avril-janvier 2016-17 par rapport à la même période de l'exercice précédent.
Les importations en janvier (0,602 tonne métrique) ont diminué de 41,7 pour cent par rapport à janvier 2016 et de 21 pour cent par rapport à décembre 2016.
Entre avril et janvier 2016-17, la production d'acier brut s'est établie à 80 716 tm, enregistrant une croissance de neuf pour cent par rapport à la même période du dernier exercice.
En janvier 2017, la production globale d'acier brut s'est établie à 8,367 tm, en hausse de 11,5% par rapport à janvier 2016, mais a diminué de 0,4% par rapport à décembre 2016.
Il va être fascinant de voir le résultat d'une année sur l'autre en 2017 par rapport à 2016.

India saw a remarkable year-on-year increase in January with regards to steel exports. They saw a three-fold increase to 0.0889MT of steel exported in the winter month. The result almost unquestionably comes primarily as a result of the government introducing measures to protect domestic production, amid fears of overseas trade exploitations, mainly in the way of other countries dumping cheap steel. 

The country shipped out 5.865MT in the first 10 months of the ongoing fiscal, registering an increase of 71 per cent. “Exports in January 2017 (0.889 mt) was up 224 per cent over January 2016 and was up by 19 per cent over December 2016,” according to Joint Plant Committee data. The country’s steel export in January 2016 was 0.274 mt, the data further revealed.
“Export of total finished steel was up by 71.1 per cent in April-January 2016-17 (5.865 mt) over the same period of last year,” the data showed. Imports of total finished steel declined by 37.8 per cent to 6.097 mt in April-January 2016-17 over the same period of last fiscal.
Imports in January (0.602 mt) was down by 41.7 per cent over January 2016 and by 21 per cent over December 2016.
During April-January 2016-17, crude steel production was at 80.716 mt, registering a growth of nine per cent over the same period of last fiscal.
Overall crude steel production in January 2017 stood at 8.367 mt which was up by 11.5 per cent over January 2016 but declined by 0.4 per cent over December 2016.
It’s going to be fascinating to see the year-on-year result of 2017 compared with 2016.
