Manufacturing of Tool Steel Bar:

- Cold rolling, slitting and edge processing

- Heat treatment: annealing, tempering, hardening

- Cold finishing and polishing

Traitement thermique:

Normaliser:

Température de normalisation: 860-900oC.

Recuit doux:

Chauffer à 760-800oC, refroidir lentement dans le four.

Cela produira une dureté maximale de Brinell de 217.

Déstressant:

Le soulagement des contraintes pour éliminer les contraintes d'usinage doit être effectué

en chauffant à env. 650oC, tenant pendant 1-2 heures à la chaleur,

suivi d'un refroidissement à l'air. Cette opération est effectuée pour réduire la distorsion pendant le traitement thermique.

Durcissement:

Durcir d'une température de 830-890oC suivie d'une trempe à l'huile.

La dureté après trempe est d'env. 64 HRC.

Tempérage

Température de revenu: 150-180oC.

Heat Treatment:

Normalizing temperature: 860-900oC.

Soft Annealing:

Heat to 760-800oC, cool slowly in furnace.

This will produce a maximum Brinell hardness of 217.

Stress Relieving:

Stress relieving to remove machining stresses should be carried out

by heating to approx. 650oC, holding for 1-2 hours at heat,

followed by air cooling. This operation is performed to reduce distortion during heat treatment.

Hardening:

Harden from a temperature of 830-890oC followed by oil quenching.

Hardness after quenching is approx. 64 HRC.

Tempering:

Tempering temperature: 150-180oC.
